Strip Seal Expansion

A strip seal expansion joint is a mechanical device used in bridges and other structures to seal the gap between two adjacent slabs. It consists of a steel edge beam on each side with a mechanically locked elastomeric seal (like neoprene or EPDM rubber) between them, allowing the structure to safely expand and contract with temperature changes while providing a watertight barrier and support for traffic
